Support

Volume Panel setup and permission help.

Volume Panel only asks for permissions that unlock specific features. Android can make some of these settings look more serious than they are, so this page explains what each one does.

Accessibility

Used for detecting volume button presses when the volume button override feature is enabled. The service does not read, store or share personal content.

Display over other apps

Required to show the custom volume panel above the current app, just like the system volume dialog.

Do Not Disturb access

Used for ring, vibrate, silent and DND related controls when those actions are enabled.

Notification listener

Used for media and cast awareness so the panel can react to active playback and output states.

Usage access

Only needed if you use excluded apps or app-specific behaviour that depends on knowing which app is currently active.

Bluetooth access

Used for Bluetooth audio controls on supported Android versions and devices.
